Firefly Neuroscience Data Platform
Advanced Signal Processing, Big Data with Cloud Computing, and AI underpin a scalable platform that drives product and clinical expansion. Data is captured and uploaded into the Firefly Neuroscience Data Platform, which feeds a range of product opportunities.
Firefly Neuroscience uses advanced digital tools (AI, Signal processing, Big Data) to process standardized, high-fidelity EEG recordings. In addition to the processed data, the original EEG raw data can further be analyzed and used in product development & research.
The processed dataset creates unique brain network maps for each patient. Within this same database, age-bound and disease comparative cohorts can be created to form a reference group.
One subset of this data was used to create an age-matched, statistically normalized reference group that was submitted to the FDA and is the basis for the normative comparison in the BNA™ Platform commercial product.

- Clinicians can use the report as a post-hoc analysis of the EEG test, including evoked response potentials (ERP), to help them better understand their patients cognitive state as well as how they compare to a normal, age-matched reference group.
- Provides clinician with context on how a patient is doing after their first BNA™ test and how they are changing after a period of time or how they are responding (or not) to a therapy or treatment in an objective way.
Beyond the BNA™ tool for clinicians, the data platform can be leveraged for many other applications including research, pharma drug development and new product development.
The longitudinal nature of the data, along with clinical disease context, provides many future development opportunities.
